In recent months the Town has received numerous inquiries regarding the status of gas well and pipeline permit applications.  The below information is provided as a convenience to residents, mineral owners and other interested parties.  The Town will make every effort to update this page as soon as possible.

The Town is aware of the recent news reports that have brought to light the possibility of toxic emissions from the Barnett Shale gas wells in our Town.  The health and safety of our citizen’s is always our top priority.  We are awaiting the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s final report and recommendations.  In an effort to encourage further investigation and assistance at the state level, Mayor Robertson has contacted Senator Jane Nelson and State Representative Tan Parker.  A copy of the Mayor’s letter may be viewed here.
