The Town of Bartonville is a Type A General Law Municipality that operates under a Council / Town Administrator form of Government. The Town Council consists of a Mayor and 5 Council Members, each elected at large and serve two-year terms. The Town Council enacts local legislation, makes policies, approves ordinances, and adopts the annual budget.

In accordance with order of the Office of the Governor issued March 31, 2020, the Bartonville Town Council will conduct a special meeting by video conference in order to advance the public health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called “social distancing”) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
