🚧 Upcoming Road Work Schedule – December & January 🚧

The Town will be completing several road repair and overlay projects over the next few weeks. Please be aware of crews in the area and expect temporary lane closures and delays. All work is weather-dependent and may be adjusted as needed.

Timberidge Cul-de-Sac

• Friday, December 12 – Remove existing surface and undercut subgrade; install flex-base
• Monday, December 15 – Final grade and compact base
• Tuesday, December 16 – Install asphalt

Porter (Small Patch Area)

• Monday, December 15 – Remove existing pavement and place flex-base
• Tuesday, December 16 – Install asphalt (flagger operation in place)

McMakin Road

Northbound Lane:

• Tuesday, December 16 – Saw-cut removal limits (flagger operations)
• Wednesday, December 17 – Remove existing surface and undercut; install base (flagger operations)
• Thursday, December 18 – Complete removal and place flex-base (flagger operations)
• Friday, December 19 – Install asphalt (flagger operations)

Southbound Lane:

• Monday, December 22 – Remove pavement and place base (flagger operations)
• Tuesday, December 23 – Install asphalt (flagger operations)

⚠️ Note: December 23 is the last available day for asphalt delivery prior to the holiday shutdown. Asphalt plants will be closed from December 24 through January 4.

Advance Notification

• December 29 – Four message boards will be deployed to notify the public of upcoming road closures on Broome and Jeter.

January Road Closures & Overlays

• Monday, January 5 – 9:00 AM
  Close Broome per the Traffic Control Plan; overlay operations will be performed.
  Roadway will reopen no later than 5:00 PM.

Tuesday, January 6 – 9:00 AM

Close Jeter per the Traffic Control Plan; overlay operations will be performed.

Roadway will reopen no later than 5:00 PM.
